i often struggle to identify myself to others in a way that feels right; bios and about mes are exhausting and often false reflections of myself, even if i do try and convince myself otherwise. the things i do know about myself is a small list, but i'll share a small snippet of it with you, anyway:
* my name is halcyon [hal see uhn] or emery. i am ???
* i am an american, midwestern high-school student who is completing my senior year homebound due to physical disabilities and chronic illnesses. this site is my life line for my creativity and practically my only outlet besides schoolwork.
* i use any pronoun except for they/them/theirs. my most commonly used ones are he, she, xe, & zir. i consider myself queer and use it both politcally and as personal termionogly for my identify.
* i often use both masculine and feminine language to describe myself and never settle for anything specific.
* i love humanity, however controverisal we are of a subject.
* i also love reading, but rarely make time for it due to exhaustion and executive dysfunction. nonetheless, it is an important part of my life and has been since i was young; the same goes for writing.
* i idenitfy as a lesbian and look longingly at butchfemme dynamics, though i'm personally never sure if i'd actually fit in any part of those respective communities. a boy can dream.
* my birthday is january 27th, and this year will be my 18th birthday!
* however i may come across to you, please don't take me too seriously. . . i enjoy whimsy and stupid humour greatly and am always down to just fuck around.
⋆ this site!
in terms of my coding journey, i believe i started sometime in 2024, though my memory is a bit fuzzy on that part. despite this, website building quickly became an important part of my life, and i put in a lot of hours to my original website until sometime in mid 2025, where i took an unwittingly long hiatus from coding due to my disintegrating health. it was in (very) late 2025 where i began to recover and decided i wanted to start fresh and start a new passion project; thus, telepathic desert was born.
the name of my website comes from a very cherished song from diana cluck, an artist i discovered in 2024. her music is lovely.
